We are seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant to join our client's healthcare team in Mississippi. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to a positive and compassionate work environment.
Job Responsibilities- Patient Care: Provide top-notch patient care, including checking patients out, providing follow-up appointments or referrals, and triaging patients as needed.
- Medical Support: Assist with rooming patients, turning rooms over, and preparing for the next day. Read and call in prescriptions, get labs read, and notify urgency levels.
- Charting and Documentation: Accurately chart patient information and maintain accurate records.
- Education and Certification: Active Medical Certification from an accredited school, preferably with an Associate Degree.
- Experience: 5 years of recent experience working for a healthcare provider or clinic.
- Communication and Technical Skills: Excellent communication skills, with a friendly and positive attitude. Strong Medical Terminology skills and experience with EMR software programs.
- Competitive Pay: $16-$17 per hour.
