Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Start Site Coordinator to join our team. This role will involve coordinating and supervising the delivery of educational and family support services to young children and their families in Becker and Mahnomen Counties.


Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of early childhood educators and support staff at our Head Start sites.
  • Develop and implement programs that promote the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of young children.
  • Collaborate with community partners and stakeholders to ensure a continuum of services for children and families.
  • Provide training and coaching to staff on best practices in early childhood education.
  • Conduct home visits and participate in parent-teacher conferences to support family engagement and child development.

Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in education or a related field, or equivalent experience in early childhood education.
  • At least five years of experience working with low-income families and preschoolers.
  • Knowledge of health, nutrition, early childhood development, and developmentally appropriate practices.
  • Familiarity with Head Start Performance Standards, family systems, childcare licensing, and Whole Family approach.
  • Exceptional professionalism required with staff, clients, families, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to engage in problem resolution, assess need/problem objectively, and manage crisis situations.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is between $27.74 and $29.26 per hour, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, vision, short-term disability, long-term disability, life insurance, retirement plan, holiday pay, PTO, and more.
