About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Revenue Cycle Specialist to join our team at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, GA. As a key member of our revenue cycle department, you will play a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate billing and collections for Medicaid/Medicare accounts.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare standardized claim forms for all Medicaid/Medicare and CMO carriers in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain current status in daily downloads and complete referrals, late charges, and returned claims from coding and audit accurately and within the required timeframe.
  • Stay up-to-date with universal billing regulations and requirements as well as individual Northside Hospital policies.
  • Maintain current status in ATB and complete collections referrals accurately and within the required timeframe.
  • Achieve monthly collection goals with a minimum standard of 95%.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports by the required deadline.
Billing Office - Medicare/Medicaid Billing
  • In addition to the above responsibilities, Billing Clerks assigned to the Medicare/Medicaid Billing function in the Billing Office are responsible for reviewing and preparing UB-92 and HCFA-1500 claim forms for submission to Medicare, Medicaid, and Champus in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain current status with daily billing download as well as all secondary claims, cross-over forms, and referrals from other departments.
  • Review, correct, and follow up on all Medicare claims via the Florida Shared System maintaining an acceptable status.
  • Maintain a current working knowledge of all changes in billing guidelines and regulations for Medicare, Medicaid, and Champus.
  • Work with other departments to resolve billing issues and ensure compliance with all Government regulations.
Requirements
  • One (1) year experience in billing or Associate's Degree in Business.
  • Good verbal communication skills and basic typing ability.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting.
  • Two (2) years experience in insurance billing or related area.
  • Prior hospital or healthcare experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electronic billing systems.

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. This estimate is based on industry standards and may vary depending on individual circumstances.
