The Hird - USA is seeking a highly skilled Procurement and Supply Chain Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for optimizing our planning process, executing weekly plans to minimize future gaps, and managing procurement and repair activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimize planning process, execute weekly plans to minimize future gaps by reviewing new buy and repair plan recommendations by the planning system.
  • Keep planning system master data up to date and initiate Engineering Change requests based on material life cycles.
  • Manage procurement and repair activities, including setting up repair supply chains, executing and expediting repair purchase orders, streamlining repair cycles, and working with supplier managers to ensure supply plans meet requirements.
  • Resolve shipping and receiving issues, invoice variances, payment issues, and manage purchase orders reconciliation with suppliers.
  • Responsible for key performance metrics such as backlog, fill rate, inventory turn, purchase orders price variance, and past due delivery management.
  • Analyze forecasted demand, inventory, and develop weekly supply plans that meet customer demands, resulting in fill rates that meet client targets while minimizing total inventory costs.
  • Analyze and resolve product backlogs and fill rates on a daily basis, identifying problem areas and driving functional groups to correct them.
  • Identify opportunities for system enhancements and work with key business stakeholders and IT to implement continuous system improvements.
  • Create Purchase Order transactions on the fly and have knowledge of SAP.
  • Knowledge of supply and demand planning.
  • The candidate must combine a working knowledge of world-class supply chain practices, strong analytical capabilities, strong leadership skills, and business savvy.
  • Effective in communication, influencing, and negotiation in a matrix organization, including one-on-one, small and large groups, and with peers and executives.
  • Knowledge of reporting tools such as Business Objects, Tableau, or similar is a plus.
  • Knowledge of other procurement software.
