Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Controls Engineer to join our team at BHS Corrugated & Robotics. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement electrical design and automation solutions for various industries.
  • Create and manage Bill of Materials (BOM) in accordance with project requirements.
  • Support the panel shop from concept to final build, ensuring design and build compliance.
  • Provide aftermarket support, including travel to customer sites and training on implemented equipment.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by understanding and following safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Controls Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Five or more years of electrical and/or controls engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in electrical drawing design using AutoCAD LT/Eplan.
  • Advanced programming and setup of controls equipment, including PLC, Robot controllers, vision systems, HMI, VFD's, Servo Drives, and various networks.
  • Proficient in Rockwell Automation programming platforms, such as Studio 5000, RSLogix, FactoryTalk View, Connected Components, etc.
  • Technical skills, including understanding and use of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic components.
  • Computer skills, including MS Office products.
  • Robotics, design, and programming experience, including Motoman/Yaskawa, Fanuc, ABB.
  • Vision systems and bar code readers experience, preferably Cognex, Keyence, or others.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
  • Ability to work at a computer for up to 8 hours each day.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to crouch.
