We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at CentraState Healthcare System. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood specimens from patients in various settings, including hospitals, clinics, and community locations.
Key Responsibilities- Collect blood specimens from patients using venipuncture, capillary fingerstick, or heelstick methods
- Label and transport specimens to the laboratory for testing
- Interpret physician orders and perform computer order entry accurately
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare staff
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with high patient volume
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Phlebotomy experience preferred
- ASCP-certified phlebotomy technician preferred
- Proficient computer skills required for registering patients and ordering lab tests
- Strong professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills
