Job Title: Title Specialist

SolomonEdwards is seeking a skilled Title Specialist to join our team. As a Title Specialist, you will be responsible for performing tasks that require knowledge and skill to identify and resolve title clearance issues in a timely manner.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine data entry and validation tasks to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Analyze and summarize title abstracts and recorded documents to identify potential title issues.
  • Research and resolve outstanding liens, judgments, and other title issues to ensure title clearance.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, borrowers, internal staff, and outside agencies to resolve title clearance issues.
  • Manage daily pipeline reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Take necessary steps to cure title clearance items per clearance guidelines.
  • Maintain open communication with team and managers to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Manage and support lender relationships to ensure timely and accurate title clearance.
  • Review internal and external systems for additional title information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage a portfolio of curative files for processing and tracking.
  • Update both client and internal systems, as required, thoroughly and accurately.
  • Interact and clearly communicate with clients, borrowers, internal staff, and outside agencies to resolve title clearance issues.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required; College Degree preferred or Equivalent Work Experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of Mortgage Experience preferred.
  • General understanding of applicable Federal, State and Local regulations.
  • Knowledge of title searches, title examination, and lien clearance in multiple states.
  • Ability to interact successfully with both internal and external customers at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Effective organizational, follow-up, and time-management skills.
  • Effective communicational, interpersonal, persuasive, negotiating, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision.
