Role Overview

We are in search of a seasoned and strategically-oriented Growth Strategy Manager to become a vital member of our Global Marketing Sales & Business Operations (GMSBO) team. In this capacity, you will take charge of planning essential business initiatives, conducting comprehensive research and analysis, and pinpointing growth prospects that align with our organizational objectives. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be key in driving strategic projects and providing data-driven insights to support decision-making processes.

This role presents a unique opportunity to shape the strategic trajectory of PlayStation and the entire GMSBO organization. The ideal candidate will exhibit outstanding communication skills and a proven history in business strategy and planning. You will stay attuned to the latest customer behaviors and industry trends, employing your analytical and creative thinking alongside business acumen to formulate growth hypotheses. The Growth Strategy Manager will partner with senior leadership to define and articulate strategy, research and recommend revenue growth opportunities, and explore new business avenues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessing new business models and recommending optimizations for existing opportunities.
  • Generating, synthesizing, and analyzing pertinent research reports to inform mid and long-term strategies.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to identify business opportunities and shape long-term strategies.
  • Conducting complex analyses and scenario planning for executive recommendations and decision-making.
  • Supporting strategic initiatives through rigorous data analysis.
  • Creating ad-hoc internal analyses and presentations, ensuring clarity and coherence of information.
  • Assisting in the research of industry trends and conducting qualitative and quantitative competitive analyses.

Required Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in strategic planning, management consulting, or investment banking.
  • Demonstrated expertise in research and data analysis for business strategy development.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong work ethic and the capacity to perform under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability to independently lead projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt priorities based on business needs.
  • Proactive approach with the ability to initiate and manage relevant projects with minimal oversight.
  • Knowledge of the video game industry.
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • MBA or equivalent degree.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Passion for video games.
  • Understanding of video game technologies, business, and consumer trends.
  • Experience in mobile gaming.
  • Proficiency in database-driven analytics and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, PowerBI).
  • Experience in tech, gaming, or related industries.
  • Advanced capabilities in financial and managerial model-building.
