Role Overview:
As a Senior Engineer I, you will be responsible for implementing E-commerce solutions on the Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) platform, with a primary focus on backend development. Your tasks will include developing new features and components that enhance browser interactions using advanced JavaScript frameworks, HTML, CSS, and SAAS. You will plan, write, and test code to fulfill assigned tasks based on technical specifications.

In this role, you will leverage your understanding of SFCC's out-of-the-box functionalities, cartridge integration, and customization options to propose effective solutions for technical challenges, enabling the creation of fully functional E-commerce sites across various devices.

Collaboration is key; you will work closely with Solution Architects, Technical Leads, and software development teams to guide and support team members in implementing necessary SFCC and front-end solutions while educating them on relevant technical aspects.

Your responsibilities will also include ensuring that customer-facing applications are designed for high availability, observability, and durability by adhering to software engineering best practices. You will collaborate with Product and Project Owners to grasp end-user requirements, develop user stories, and translate them into effective technical solutions.

Additionally, you will partner with front-end, back-end, and operations engineers to ensure that deliverables are well-documented, secure, and resilient.


Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, you must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with 8 years of progressive experience in software development. This experience should include at least 5 years in the following areas:
  • Delivering production-ready implementations using the Salesforce Commerce Cloud platform;
  • Cloud-based services or service-oriented architectures;
  • Developing applications with MuleSoft/AWS integrations and Sterling OMS;
  • Payment integration utilizing Adyen payment gateway;
  • Experience in an international domain with development on a single code base for multiple sites;
  • Software development fundamentals, including automated testing, source control (GitLab), and continuous integration and delivery.

Moreover, you should have at least 5 years of experience with SFCC in the following areas:

  • Search indexes, Promotions, Catalogs, and Site Preferences within merchant and admin tools;
  • Jobs Framework, including modules such as Orders, Customers, Product, Inventory, and Price books;
  • Developing SFRA framework, Controllers, and ISML;
  • Creating multi-site solutions with localized storefronts using multiple locales/currencies and feature Flags/Toggles;
  • Implementing code to safeguard storefronts against XSS and CORS vulnerabilities;
  • Customizing core modules, including PDP, PLP, Cart, Checkout pages, and Page Designer;
  • Developing Customer profiles, Content Library, and Content management.

Workplace Arrangement:
This role is classified as Hybrid under our global SSC Workplace Policy, emphasizing the importance of in-person collaboration while allowing for remote work flexibility.

Compensation and Benefits:
Lululemon's compensation structure is rooted in a pay-for-performance philosophy that acknowledges exceptional individual and team contributions. The typical hiring range for this position is from $182,000 to $202,312 annually, with base pay determined by market location and relevant experience. Permanent employees may also be eligible for a competitive annual bonus program.
