Responsibilities:

  • Assist healthcare professionals with patient exams, procedures, and treatments
  • Take vital signs, perform EKGs, and conduct urine dips and HCG tests
  • Administer finger stick glucose tests and perform other medical procedures as needed
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Work independently and as part of a team to ensure seamless patient care

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience as an Internal Medicine Medical Assistant
  • 1 year of experience in an OB/GYN setting (preferred)
  • Outpatient experience required
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program (CAAHEP or ABHES)
  • Current registration as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) by AAMA or an equivalent certifying body
  • BLS certification required

Working Conditions:

  • Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm schedule
  • No weekends or major holidays required
  • EPIC EMR system
  • Scrubs of any color
