About the Role

The Kubernetes Engineer plays a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of agile teams and defining a shared technical vision for solutions under development. This individual must be able to architect end-to-end solutions by translating customer needs into technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish direction and provide guidance to team members
  • Demonstrate mastery of activities such as defining technical and architectural vision, evolving solution architecture, and outlining primary components and interfaces
  • Work with Product Manager, Product Owner, Application Architect, and Software engineering teams to elaborate product requirements into technical requirements
  • Participate in Scrum of Scrums to understand and remove architectural impediments/blockers
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Advanced knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Lean, XP) and cross-functional teams
  • Advanced knowledge of multi-tier application architecture design, application development (full SDLC), and application integration
  • Advanced knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture concepts – SOAP, Web API, REST API, and microservices
  • Ability to overcome steep learning curve within a short period of time on any subject and speak intelligently about the subject
  • Ability to multitask and work independently with minimal direction and maximum accountability
  • Strong communication skills – proficient in communicating technical solutions to technical and non-technical audiences of varying skillset and levels of the organization
Additional Requirements
  • Experience with Adobe Marketing Cloud products preferred
  • Experience with mobile application development preferred
  • Experience in building cloud solutions architecture using Public Clouds (IaaS and PaaS) preferred
  • Experience in containerization – Docker, Docker Swarm, or Kubernetes preferred
