Cloud Architect Opportunity

As a cloud computing infrastructure architect, you will play a key role in helping our clients harness the power of cloud capabilities. With a team of experienced professionals, you will use cutting-edge enterprise cloud platforms to support your clients as they modernize their IT infrastructure and meet their most challenging missions.

You will collaborate closely with fellow cloud architects and engineers specializing in AWS, Azure, or GCP to design, define, develop, test, and debug cloud solution components. You will work within a DevOps framework to create and manage container apps and use products like Kubernetes to further the mission.

With access to our internal Azure, AWS, and GCP labs, you will have the space and time to explore different ways of solving our client's problems, and you will partner with stakeholders and your team to deliver the right technical solutions.

Whether modernizing legacy computing platforms and applications or creating new ones from scratch, you will have the latest tech and brightest teammates at your fingertips.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop cloud solution components
  • Collaborate with cloud architects and engineers
  • Work within a DevOps framework
  • Manage container apps and use Kubernetes
  • Partner with stakeholders and team to deliver technical solutions

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in IT applications or managing infrastructure and applications in an enterprise environment
  • 4+ years of experience with managing applications within a Cloud Service Provider, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Knowledge of networking, storage, computer, and database fundamentals
  • Knowledge of operating systems, including Linux, UNIX, Ubuntu, or Red Hat
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field
  • AWS, Azure, or GCP Certifications

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with troubleshooting or deploying enterprise applications
  • Experience with developing or improving application architecture to ensure client needs are met
  • Experience with managing Containers or Virtual Machines
  • Experience with using Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Jenkins
  • Experience with scripting tools, including Bash, PowerShell, JSON, and Python
  • Knowledge of Terraform and CloudFormation, or IAC tools

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary:

The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
