Responsibilities:

  • Teach courses as scheduled
  • Maintain one office hour per week per course
  • Attend LSCO adjunct faculty meetings
  • Assess courses on departmental and institutional levels
  • Complete LSCO Basic Blackboard Certification
  • Complete LSCO Title IX training
  • Have reliable transportation for travel to assigned instructional sites
  • Attend Teaching and Learning Center to upgrade teaching skills
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Vary depending on which of the two course types. For academic transfer, a Master's Degree with at least 18 SCH in the subject area is required. For technical courses, an Associate's Degree in the subject area or a License/Certification with 3+ years of work experience in the field related to the discipline is required. If teaching a profession that requires a license, please provide a copy of your license in the 'Other Document' area in the 'Documents Needed to Apply' section. This position is security-sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of the Texas Education Code §51.223.
