Ciena Healthcare Management, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to lead our culinary team. As a key member of our management team, the successful candidate will be responsible for directing the preparation, seasoning, and cooking of all food for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Menu Development: Plan and price menu items, taking into account food, labor, and overhead costs.
  • Supply Chain Management: Estimate amounts and costs of required supplies, such as food and ingredients, and ensure timely delivery of services.
  • Team Leadership: Instruct cooks and other workers in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.
  • Quality Control: Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance to established standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Registered Dietitian to ensure that menu items meet the dietary needs of our residents.

Requirements:

  • Education: Must have graduated from a reputable culinary institute.
  • Experience: At least two years' experience working as a chef, with at least one year of long term care experience preferred.
  • Certifications: ServSafe certified and knowledge of long term care regulations and requirements required.
