Pulmonary Rehabilitation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pulmonary Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team at Mass General Brigham. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily operations of the exercise/education component of the Outpatient Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program, working closely with the Pulmonary Rehab Team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct exercise sessions with patients, monitoring vital signs and adjusting oxygen levels as needed.
  • Develop and implement patient teaching materials and protocols for the Pulmonary Rehab Program.
  • Document patient information accurately and concisely in the medical record.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of pulmonary rehabilitation information through ongoing education and professional development.

Requirements:

  • A.S./B.S. in Respiratory Therapy.
  • Registration (RRT) by the N.B.R.C.
  • One year clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
  • Licensed as a Respiratory Therapist by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Active Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) by the American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Respiratory Therapy.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) by the American Heart Association.
  • Prior experience in Pulmonary Rehab.

Working Conditions:

  • Works primarily in outpatient care area and is exposed to various cleaning agents.
  • Frequent exposure to communicable diseases.
