Job DescriptionAssistant PreK Teacher Role: As an Assistant PreK Teacher at The Goddard School, you will be responsible for supporting the Lead Teacher in creating engaging programs, managing the classroom, and ensuring a safe, stimulating environment. Your primary duties will include:

• Assisting the Lead Teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans
• Supporting children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
• Preparing classroom materials and ensuring safety and cleanliness
• Supervising and providing individualized support to children
• Assisting in communicating with parents about their child's progress and activities
• Adhering to health and safety guidelines
• Supporting routine childcare tasks to promote a nurturing learning environment

Required Skills and QualificationsTo be considered for this role, you must have:

• A high school diploma; an associate or bachelor's degree in early childhood education is preferred
• Previous experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting
• Shows empathy and compassion for young children
• Works productively without supervision
• Basic understanding of child development
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children
