Job Summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist II to join our Blood Bank team. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing blood bank transfusion service patient testing and interpreting moderate and high complexity clinical laboratory tests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform blood bank transfusion service patient testing and interpret results
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure accurate and timely testing
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies
  • Provide training and education to laboratory staff on blood bank procedures and protocols
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory operations
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science
  • 1-2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting
  • Certification by American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or National Credentialing Agency (NCA)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
