Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Evaluate students' speech and language abilities through thorough assessments.
  2. Develop Personalized Treatment Plans: Create and implement tailored treatment plans to address students' communication goals.
  3. Deliver Direct Therapy Services: Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
  4. Collaborate with Educators and Parents: Work closely with educators, parents, and other school professionals to ensure students' academic and social success.
  5. Monitor Progress and Adapt Strategies: Continuously monitor students' progress and adapt intervention strategies as needed to maximize outcomes.
  6. Maintain Accurate Documentation: Maintain meticulous documentation of assessment results, treatment plans, progress reports, and billing records.
  7. Participate in IEP Meetings: Actively participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
  8. Stay Current with Best Practices: Stay informed about the latest best practices and evidence-based interventions in the field of speech-language pathology.

Qualifications:

  1. Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology: Possess a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
  2. Active Texas State Licensure: Hold active Texas state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) or eligibility for licensure.
  3. Certification by the Texas Education Agency: Be certified by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) as a Speech-Language Pathologist in schools or eligibility for certification.
  4. Experience in School Settings: While experience in school settings is preferred, it is not required.
  5. Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
