Role Summary

As a Steamer Line Cook, you will be responsible for steaming dumplings for our guests and supporting the dumpling team in the preparation, assembly, and closure of dumplings. Your duties will include managing the steamer stations, restocking, and organizing dumplings for steaming throughout your shift. This role may involve working in a show kitchen, necessitating a clean, professional appearance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare dumpling/bun skins
  • Fill dumplings/buns
  • Seal and arrange dumplings/buns in the steamer correctly
  • Label items according to health regulations and company procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness in the dumpling area and steamer station
  • Participate in monthly staff and dumpling meetings

Supporting Duties
  • Ensure all kitchen areas are clean and sanitized
  • Organize items in coolers and freezers
  • Lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Assist with deep cleaning of the kitchen
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding proprietary information, including recipes and procedures
