Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Co-op to join our team at Precision Castparts Corp. in Gardena, California. As an EHS Co-op, you will play a critical role in maintaining our compliance with federal and state environmental and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular safety and environmental inspections to identify and report potential hazards.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of EHS-related activities and incidents.
  • Assist the Plant Manager in tracking corrective actions and investigation statuses.
  • Support the development and implementation of safety training programs.
  • Collaborate with the EHS team to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager or EHS team lead.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in an EHS-related field at a post-secondary education institution.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications and internet applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under moderate supervision and use own initiative.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
