Job Summary

Specialty Tooling Systems is seeking a highly skilled Senior Program Manager to oversee the coordination and execution of multiple programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program management, with experience in the automotive industry and a proven track record of delivering results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and administer job budgets and finances, ensuring timely and profitable project completion.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and customer representatives to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Collaborate with department managers to establish tool processes, designs, and quality standards.
  • Develop and manage project timelines, ensuring timely completion and meeting customer requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate potential delivery problems, working closely with management and sales teams to find solutions.
  • Participate in customer meetings and provide input on project requirements and expectations.
  • Responsible for concept, 50% and 100% design approval of dies and fixtures, if awarded.
  • Liaise between customers, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Ensure all activities are progressing as planned, without unnecessary delays.
  • Work with department heads to coordinate design and construction, setting up internal meetings as required.
  • Quoting of engineering changes, reviewing with department heads as necessary.
  • Receive and process purchase orders for all work to be performed, in process or completed.
  • Advise accounting of invoicing status and follow through on necessary approvals.
  • Keep an open issues list, including the person responsible for each task.
  • Carry out ISO requirements and mentor STS Project Managers and PM Assistants.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the automotive industry.
  • Experience in Automotive Automation, machine building a plus.
  • At least 8 years of experience in Automation.
  • Good management, organizational, and people skills.
  • High school or equivalent education.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to read and speak English.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Professional demeanor suitable for this position.
Work Environment

Office setting in a manufacturing environment.

Physical Demands
  • Sit for long periods of time.
  • See details of objects that are less than a few feet away.
  • Use fingers to grasp, move, or assemble very small objects.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

Full-time position.

Travel

0-25% potential travel associated with the role, as needed.
