Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Project Engineer to join our team at Great River. As a key member of our infrastructure development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing transportation projects that meet the needs of our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement transportation project designs, including detailed calculations, plan preparation, and review.
  • Conduct research and provide schematic-level and preliminary designs for transportation projects.
  • Prepare and review engineering reports, plans, and specifications.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure project deliverables meet client expectations.
  • Perform quantity take-offs and prepare engineer's estimates for projects.
  • Coordinate with surveyors, CAD designers, and outside consultants as needed.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and/or MicroStation software to prepare engineering design documents and basic drawings.
  • Perform field activities during design and/or construction, including observing and recording existing field conditions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent from an ABET-accredited four-year college or university.
  • Enrolled as an Engineering Intern or hold a Professional Engineering License in the State of Missouri.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil and/or MicroStation.
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite.

The work environment for this position is typically an office setting, with occasional visits to job sites during design or construction.

The physical demands of this position include sitting, walking, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, reaching with hands and arms, and talking or hearing.
