Job Title: Transportation Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Project Engineer to join our team at Alfred Benesch & Co. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of transportation projects, from planning and design to construction and implementation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed designs of urban and rural roadways from preliminary to final design
  • Collaborate with team members, communities, and stakeholders to define data needs, project requirements, and outputs to develop applications
  • Compile and coordinate plans, specifications, cost estimates, and pay items
  • Support studies and alternative analysis to determine best solutions to meet compliance and client goals
  • Work with various disciplines and reviewers to ensure complete, accurate, and high-quality deliverables
  • Contribute to proposal development
  • Manage small projects, project tasks, and assist Project Managers in overall large project delivery
  • Manage and maintain project documentation
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, or higher, is required
  • Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment on challenging projects
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to develop task deliverables in a complete and reviewable manner
  • Experience working with Local and State public agency clients (Public Works, DOTs, etc.)
  • Proficient with ORD design software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Kansas and/or Missouri Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain upon hire (preferred)
  • Project experience in transportation engineering design (preferred)
