About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Tech to join our team at Mass General Brigham. As a key member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist registered nurses in delivering high-quality patient care, ensuring a safe and compassionate environment.
  • Provide physical care to patients, including bed baths, toileting, grooming, and changing bed linen, adhering to established guidelines.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and blood glucose levels, performing tasks as directed by registered nurses.
  • Prepare patients for meals and assist with feeding as needed.
  • Document patient care in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to established standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized patient room environment.
  • Collect and label specimens according to established procedures.
  • Provide mentorship and teaching to new nursing assistants to ensure high performance standards.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; nursing assistant certification preferred.
  • Recent experience in clinical patient care or completion of a nursing assistant training program.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move patients as needed, with a focus on patient safety and comfort.
  • Basic math and computer skills, with proficiency in electronic medical records.
