Job Summary

The Executive Chef is a key member of the senior living community's culinary team, responsible for overseeing the overall dining program. This includes selecting and managing a team of culinary professionals, managing budgets, implementing seasonal menus, and ensuring the highest quality of food and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of residents
  • Manage food costs and inventory to ensure efficient use of resources
  • Supervise and train culinary staff to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Collaborate with the executive director to plan and execute special events and activities
  • Monitor and report on food quality, service, and resident satisfaction
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in culinary management, preferably in a senior living environment
  • Proven track record of managing budgets and controlling food costs
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, staff, and vendors
