Supervisory Responsibilities:- Conduct interviews and select site personnel.
- Authorize timecards and manage leave requests.
- Organize work schedules and delegate tasks.
- Enforce safety protocols and site regulations.
- Formulate a timeline and a cost-effective strategy for project completion.
- Work collaboratively with team members to develop preconstruction estimates and budget plans for materials and labor.
- Coordinate and schedule the activities of tradespeople, professionals, and laborers, providing clear instructions and project assignments through the project foreperson.
- Regularly assess work quality and adherence to timelines; prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders; suggest necessary adjustments.
- Engage with architects, engineers, legal advisors, and other relevant parties to ensure compliance with specifications, zoning laws, and other regulations.
- Ensure that all specifications and regulations outlined in architectural and engineering documents are adhered to.
- Secure necessary permits and licenses; execute construction contracts as per agreed terms.
- Monitor project budgets and communicate any discrepancies as they arise.
- Maintain accurate records related to costs and inventory management.
- Address safety violations and other deficiencies promptly.
- Collaborate with subcontractors to clarify procedures and answer inquiries.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive under pressure.
- Proficient in overseeing and coordinating diverse teams.
- Highly detail-oriented.
- Capability to interpret and execute blueprints, drawings, and plans.
- Comprehensive understanding of legal standards related to construction and building sites.
- In-depth knowledge of quality construction practices.
- Strong problem identification and resolution skills.
- A minimum of ten years in the construction industry is required.
- Experience with federal and government contracts is advantageous.
- Ability to access and navigate all construction site areas in various weather conditions.
- Must be capable of lifting up to 40 pounds occasionally.
- Must pass criminal, drug, and driving screenings.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
