This endeavor requires a collaborative effort between elite engineers and scientists to tackle significant research and product challenges. We are assembling a top-tier, multi-disciplinary team that encompasses AI research, engineering, biological research, and business roles, necessitating strong communication and collaboration skills across all functions.

Work Environment
The EvolutionaryScale team operates from two primary locations, promoting flexibility in work schedules and locations. However, we expect team members to spend a substantial portion of their workweek in one of our offices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stay informed about advancements in AI or biology and contribute to the progression of at least one of these fields.
  • Assist in designing and implementing the long-term research strategy for the organization.
  • Lead research initiatives related to the company's foundational model projects.
  • Collaborate with researchers, engineers, and scientists from partner organizations to apply our technology and research effectively.
  • Develop software for research projects and work closely with other researchers and engineers.
  • Engage with the broader scientific community through significant publications and open-source contributions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in programming languages, particularly Python.
  • A PhD in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in implementing deep learning models using PyTorch or similar frameworks.
  • Capability to design and execute machine learning experiments, as well as analyze and communicate results.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is competitive, reflecting a range of $150,000 to $350,000 annually, along with an attractive equity package. The overall compensation will be tailored based on relevant skills, experience, and knowledge. Additionally, the compensation package includes comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits.
