Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Department Manager to join our team at WEIS LLC. As a key member of our pharmacy operations team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the daily activities of our pharmacy department, ensuring that we provide exceptional customer service and maintain a high level of quality in our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Supervise and manage the work of pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff to ensure that our pharmacy department operates efficiently and effectively.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with medical-related issues and providing healthcare counseling.
  • Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of pharmaceutical stock, including ordering and tracking sales to ensure that we meet customer demand and maximize profits.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all prescriptions are filled accurately and in accordance with state and federal regulations, and that our pharmacy department maintains a high level of quality in all aspects of our operations.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities to pharmacy associates to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Security and Compliance: Maintain the security of our pharmacy department and ensure that we comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (BS) or Doctoral degree (PHARM.D.) in Pharmacy, or equivalent.
  • Experience: Two (2) years of retail pharmacy experience, including experience in a supervisory or management role.
  • Certifications: Immunization Certification through an accredited organization (i.e., APhA).
