Located in Kennesaw, Georgia, this role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers, resolving issues and influencing them to make payments on past due accounts. In this position, you will be responsible for making outbound collection calls and taking incoming calls from customers, educating them on account management options, finance charges accruals, late fees, credit reporting, and payment options.

The ideal candidate will possess basic to moderate computer knowledge, keyboard skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. This individual should also have excellent listening and speaking skills, with the capacity to handle stressful interactions with customers while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

As an Account Resolution Specialist, you will work closely with other departments and teams to resolve customer concerns, balancing the needs of CarMax's customers with meeting department expectations. You will effectively resolve customer issues, influence customers to make payments, and maintain accurate records of all interactions in inter-company systems.

This is a hybrid work arrangement after 90 days of successful performance, offering flexibility and work-life balance. Responsibilities include:

  • Making outbound collection calls and taking incoming calls from customers to resolve issues and influence them to make payments on past due accounts.
  • Educating customers on account management options, finance charges accruals, late fees, credit reporting, and payment options.
  • Annotating accounts in inter-company systems to document all interactions.
  • Working with other departments and teams to resolve customer concerns.
  • Meeting department expectations while performing the above functions.

Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
