Position: Mechanical Design Engineer
We are currently in search of a Mechanical Design Engineer to deliver engineering design support on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers to create detailed drawings from sketches, existing designs, and digital images.
- Develop precise 3D solid models using Autodesk Inventor and prepare comprehensive Bill of Materials.
- Assist in processing Engineering Change Orders (ECO) utilizing Autodesk Vault Professional.
- Innovate design solutions to address challenges encountered during the design process.
- Support the Ongoing Product Improvement team with daily design requests from customers.
- Contribute to the Product Development Team by generating new design concepts for upcoming products.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 0-3 years of experience in the design of heavy-duty equipment.
- Proficient in interpreting electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
- Familiarity with 3D solid modeling, particularly with Autodesk Inventor and Vault Professional.
- Experience with sheet metal design, water piping, and hose routing.
- Basic understanding of steel and aluminum manufacturing processes, including sheet metal fabrication, machining, and welding.
- Preferred knowledge of parametric modeling techniques, including iAssemblies and iParts.
- Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is advantageous.
- Familiarity with hydraulic systems for mobile equipment is a plus.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned.
- Capability to follow instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effectively organizes and conveys ideas and information using appropriate methods.
- Capable of presenting information clearly to the team via video conferencing.
