Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and student-centered Academic Advisor to join our team in the Division of Undergraduate Education. As an Academic Advisor, you will provide high-quality academic advising to undergraduates in an assigned cohort, including first-year, transfer, class year, academic standing, and other student groupings. You will also support the training and development of Academic Advising Assistants and Interns, participate in the planning and development of team meetings, training, and activities, and manage administrative tasks, including programming, special initiatives, and budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individual and group academic advising to undergraduates in an assigned cohort
Support the training and development of Academic Advising Assistants and Interns
Participate in the planning and development of team meetings, training, and activities
Manage administrative tasks, including programming, special initiatives, and budget

Requirements:

Master's Degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in higher education, student affairs, social work, counseling, or related discipline
Three (3) years of full-time experience in academic advising, counseling, or student services in an educational setting
Experience coordinating projects, programs, and/or events

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in higher education, student affairs, social work, counseling, or related discipline
Experience at the college or university level working with undergraduate students
Academic advising experience in a college or university setting
Experience teaching student-development related courses, facilitating workshops or leading presentations
Experience interacting with a diverse student population in an academic environment
