Key Responsibilities:

As a Marine Inspector II, you will work under the guidance of senior inspectors to perform a variety of inspections, including:

  • Conducting routine inspections on vessels, focusing on safety systems such as fire and flooding alarms, hull integrity, and preservation.
  • Performing quality assurance evaluations of ongoing and completed projects, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Training ship personnel on proper inactivation procedures and equipment management.
  • Planning and executing compartment closeout inspections during decommissioning activities.
  • Inspecting equipment removals and maintenance work to guarantee quality and safety at job sites.
  • Utilizing alarm systems and Remote Transmitter Unit (RTU) systems effectively.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of Service Craft and Boat Accounting Report systems.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Five (5) years of relevant experience with civilian or military vessels. Proficiency in MS Office applications is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or equivalent.
  • Certification as a Shipyard Competent Person.
  • Five (5) years of experience in ship maintenance inspections or military inspection roles.

Note: Candidates with a strong background in ship maintenance inspection or military inspection experience will receive additional consideration.
