Clinical Research Nurse Specialist

About the Role:
The Clinical Research Nurse will be responsible for assisting primary investigators with developing institutionally-approved research protocols. This includes refining specific aims, coordinating statistical and scientific consultation, and completing necessary documents for approval.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and refine research protocols to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
- Coordinate statistical and scientific consultation from CIF staff to support research objectives.
- Develop individualized timelines for each protocol and complete necessary documents for approval.
- Assist with administrative, IRB, and/or IACUC approval of proposed research protocols.
- Maintain NIH and CITI training in accordance with local IRB policy.
- Organize and prioritize activities associated with conducting phase I, II, and III clinical trials and studies within a military setting.
- Review and understand biomedical research protocols to ensure adherence to applicable regulations and guidelines.
- Manage data collection and ensure accurate recording of Adverse Events.
- Enter required data on paper or electronic case report forms (CRFs) and audit records for accuracy.
- Collect and maintain essential documents required for study regulatory files.
- Coordinate with external monitors and internal quality assurance to ensure compliance with protocol, SOPs, regulations, and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- BSN (RN) from accredited Nursing Program
- MS/MA preferred
- Certification in Research Nursing recommended, but not required for hire
- RN preferred 5 years of experience in clinical, translational, and military research
Estimated Salary Range:$84,000 - $114,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
