Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the implementation of instructional activities tailored to meet the needs of students.
2. Help maintain an organized classroom and promote a positive atmosphere conducive to learning.
3. Support the use of educational materials and equipment.
4. Supervise and manage students during both instructional and non-instructional periods.
5. Provide guidance and information to parents and caregivers regarding child development and educational practices.
6. Aid in the development of individualized learning programs.
7. Facilitate independent study and enrichment activities as directed by the teacher.
8. Engage with students through reading and oral communication.
9. Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards regarding student information.
10. Foster professional relationships with students, parents, staff, and the community.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must meet Highly Qualified status (A.A. Degree, 48 credit hours, or successful completion of the Paraprofessional Praxis Test).
- Two years of experience in an educational setting or working with children, or a combination of education and experience totaling two years.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in basic language and math skills.
- Ability to follow directions effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with staff, students, and the community.
- Experience working with diverse populations relevant to the educational environment.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:
The role requires the ability to perform essential functions, including:
- Regular periods of sitting and working on a computer.
- Movement throughout the building and grounds.
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to see, read, talk, and hear.
- Maintaining emotional control in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 20 lbs. as needed.
- Capability to bend, crouch, and reach as necessary.
