Job Summary

M&S Engineering LLC is seeking a highly skilled Substation Electrical Engineer to join our team in Spring Branch, Texas. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing substation projects from conceptual design through construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Create and modify design documents and drawings for substation projects, including one-lines, three-lines, control schematics, wiring diagrams, relay panel arrangements, specifications, conduit and cable sizing/routing, and generating bills of material.
  • Project Management: Effectively communicate and coordinate project activities with managers, clients, and other stakeholders as needed.
  • Scope, Schedule, and Budget: Prepare scopes, schedules, and budgets, and ensure that schedules and budgets are met.
  • Project Engineer/Manager: Take on a project engineer and/or project manager role as required.
Requirements
  • Education: 4-year degree from an accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering (emphasis in Power is preferred).
  • Licensure: Current EIT License in the State of Texas or ability to obtain the license within 12 months of hire.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and proficiency using AutoCAD or Microstation and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Personal Qualities: Self-starter, able to work independently or in a team environment, and take personal responsibility and ownership for the quality and accuracy of work product.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to routinely lift up to 30lbs.
  • Travel: Ability to travel.
