Role Overview
Aesop's Visual Merchandising team is dedicated to crafting exceptional design and creativity that resonates with local communities while respecting our environment. Our Visual Merchandisers curate immersive sensory and spatial experiences, eschewing a one-size-fits-all approach to create unique retail campaigns, installations, photographic settings, and events executed with remarkable artistry. We are storytellers, offering a distinctive three-dimensional perspective that captivates and engages customers.

The Visual Merchandising Campaign Coordinator will assist the Campaign Manager in the development and execution of campaigns across the Americas. This role involves supporting various stages of the campaign rollout, from compiling prop orders to creating plans and renderings that ensure the visual excellence of each campaign in retail locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prop Development:
    Assist the VM Manager in all facets of prop creation and deployment.
    Collaborate with external fabricators to convey guidance.
    Consider sustainability and lifecycle for all produced items.
    Plan for the post-use of all props created.
    Support local VM Specialists in producing and distributing Evergreen props.
    Identify opportunities within the campaign process to elevate underrepresented communities.
  • Campaign Materials:
    Complete the Marketing Material Order Form (MMOF) for each campaign.
    Adapt global guidelines to develop regional campaign directives.
    Create product arrangements for campaign strategies.
    Collect and organize Visual Merchandising plans from local markets.
    Collaborate with the Finished Artist to finalize store layouts for each campaign.
    Oversee the delivery and distribution of all campaign materials.
    Coordinate with vendors regarding the printing, delivery, and installation of marketing materials.
    Resolve any issues related to the installation or delivery of printed assets and props.
    Work with the finance team to ensure timely processing of vendor invoices.
    Support the Finished Artist in promoting environmental sustainability through campaign materials.
  • New Store Initiatives:
    Coordinate the delivery of marketing materials for new store openings.
    Assist with the VM setup of new stores and photography as needed.
  • Planning and Coordination:
    Adhere closely to the retail campaign timeline.
    Maintain regular communication with the VM Campaign Manager to provide updates.
  • Communication:
    Engage regularly with VM markets to understand their needs and share updates.
    Inform VM and Marketing teams of all campaign logistics prior to rollout.
    Complete the VM section of the Marketing Launch Summary for all campaigns.
    Gather campaign imagery from VM markets and prepare the Campaign Launch Record (CLR).
    Participate in team discussions to ensure our marketing, VM, and creative strategies are inclusive of all communities.
  • Execution:
    Plan and troubleshoot the execution of installations in stores.
    Assist VM Specialists with campaign execution in stores as required.
  • Events:
    Support VM Specialists with local retail and PR events as needed.
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office (PPT, Excel) is preferred.
  • Experience in three-dimensional space/displays within a commercial or creative environment is advantageous.
  • Background in project management is beneficial.
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills with both Head Office and Retail teams.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, design sensibility, and organizational capabilities.
  • Familiarity with Aesop's visual culture and a passion for the brand.
  • Previous experience in visual merchandising is required (experience with Aesop is a plus).
  • Experience as a Visual Merchandising Advocate will be positively regarded.
What We Offer
The salary for this position is $70,000.
