Facilities Maintenance Specialist

Multisite Facilities Operations
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for planning, operations, and maintenance of a large Distribution Center and Business Center, including business offices, grounds, buildings, and equipment. They ensure facilities are in good repair and all systems follow safety and fire regulations, as well as federal, state, and local building codes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled equipment maintenance and solve a range of maintenance problems of varying scope and complexity for all warehouse equipment.
- Provide a technical resource for equipment maintenance improvement projects.
- Handle building equipment emergencies as needed.
- Manage and coordinate outsourced services and outside repair contractors and track all repairs.
- Create a preventative maintenance plan and complete inspections in accordance with the PM plan.
- Create and maintain forklift certification log.
- Maintain a clean work environment and interact with housekeeping contractors.
- Actively participate in safety and compliance meetings and monitor the building to ensure safety regulations are met.
- Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of facilities, buildings, equipment, grounds, and office space.
- Assist in developing short and long-term facility utilization plans.
- Develop facility operations and maintenance policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Prepare cost estimates and recommend purchase of necessary supplies.
- Maintain repair logs on all building equipment.
- Set up, arrange, and take down furniture and equipment for meeting and conference rooms.
- Train warehouse associates in the safe and proper use of warehouse equipment.
