Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team at Level One Personnel. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality treatment services to individuals struggling with addiction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Initial Assessments: Administer and interpret screening and assessment tools to identify client needs and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Deliver Treatment Services: Provide individual and group counseling sessions, using evidence-based approaches to support client recovery.
  • Develop Treatment Plans: Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans, setting goals and objectives to promote long-term recovery.
  • Monitor Progress: Regularly evaluate client progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Maintain Confidentiality: Ensure the confidentiality of client information, adhering to strict standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Participate in Staffing: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to discuss client progress, share knowledge, and develop strategies to support client success.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's degree in Human Services or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: One year of experience providing direct substance abuse counseling services to the criminal justice population, preferred.
  • Certifications: Certified Associate Counselor Alcohol and Drug (CAC-AD) or equivalent certification, required.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Primarily performed in a correctional institution setting, with occasional travel to other locations.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to de-escalate situations, work in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a high level of professionalism.
