Location: A vibrant city in Northwest Vermont, conveniently situated near Burlington, Vermont. Approximately 100 miles to the north, with Albany, the capital of New York state, around 180 miles to the south.

Facility: A reputable organization dedicated to providing medical disability assessments and evaluations for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Opportunity:
  • Ongoing need on a PRN basis.
  • No weekend or on-call responsibilities.
  • Candidates must be Board Certified in one of the following specialties: Neurology, Neurosurgery, or Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
  • Evaluations are primarily interview-based, incorporating some physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing, along with evaluations for traumatic brain injuries.
  • No prescribing or treatment responsibilities involved.
  • DMA certification is available (CME credits can be earned) and must be obtained once privileged if not already certified.
  • Proficiency in the use of a Goniometer is required.
  • Familiarity with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardiovascular conditions is essential.
  • Competence in METs testing and the evaluation and diagnosis of respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions is necessary.
  • A personal laptop is required (Apple laptops/MACs are not permitted).
  • Comprehensive training will be provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs).
  • Evaluations will be conducted in the provider's portal, with records subject to review.
  • Five providers are needed.
Compensation: Attractive hourly rates with weekly payments and malpractice coverage included.
