Job Overview

Bristol Infrastructure Design Services, LLC is in search of a skilled Construction Manager (CM) to support various projects within the Navy mission. The CM will deliver technical services and expertise throughout all construction phases across diverse projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Effectively communicate NAVFAC requirements and positions, engaging with multiple levels of authority to drive decisive actions from all involved parties, including contractors and supported commands.
  • Evaluate pre-final contract drawings and specifications for constructability and alignment with field conditions.
  • Participate in pre-award contract discussions, including Functional Analysis Concept Development (FACDs) and constructability assessments.
  • Facilitate post-award contract meetings, including kickoff meetings, preconstruction conferences, and final inspections.
  • Review contractor administrative submissions, such as schedules and environmental protection plans, and recommend approval or rejection of technical submittals in a timely manner.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, engage with Engineering Technician/Quality Assurance representatives, and attend quality control meetings.
  • Provide technical solutions to unforeseen construction challenges, ensuring minimal impact on the project's scope, cost, or schedule.
  • Deliver project status updates to senior government personnel within the field office.
  • Prepare property record inventory documents in coordination with project managers and real property accountable officers.
  • Assist in contract closeout processes, including tracking the delivery of as-built drawings and warranty documents.
  • Maintain communication with the government sponsor regarding project status while independently managing assignments.
Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Comprehensive understanding of construction operations supervision.
  • Familiarity with engineering principles and practices relevant to construction.
  • Proficient in professional communication with various stakeholders to ensure effective project execution.

Experience:

  • At least seven (7) years of experience in roles such as Construction Manager, Project Manager, Field Engineer, or Quality Control Manager on significant commercial or industrial projects.
  • Strong grasp of construction operations and engineering concepts.

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • A degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management from an accredited institution is required.
