We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Estimator to join our team at SCI Construction, Ltd. This is a full-time position based in Tyler, TX.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate and detailed cost estimates for various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and drawings, as well as excellent communication and analytical skills.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing construction plans, specifications, and drawings to identify necessary materials, labor, and equipment required for the project.
  • Conducting thorough research to obtain accurate pricing for materials, labor, and subcontractor services.
  • Preparing detailed cost estimates, including line-item breakdowns, for all aspects of the construction project.
  • Collaborating with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to refine and finalize cost estimates.
  • Identifying potential cost-saving opportunities and providing recommendations to improve project profitability.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience with a general contractor.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • The ability to read and interpret specs, plans, and blueprints.
  • Detailed-oriented and organized, with a focus on accuracy and quality.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
