Position Summary:

The Maintenance Engineer is tasked with ensuring the operational integrity of building systems, including refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, heating, and air conditioning. This role is crucial for maintaining the quality and safety of our properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to residents' service requests with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Maintain a high level of organization and focus while performing tasks, even amidst interruptions.
  • Communicate effectively with residents and team members, especially in challenging situations.
  • Work independently while also collaborating with other departments to achieve common goals.
  • Analyze and interpret reports and documentation related to maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and emergency protocols.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical repairs, and HVAC system upkeep.
  • Monitor fire alarm and life safety systems, responding promptly to any emergencies.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in optimal condition, ensuring they are returned to storage after use.
  • Document daily activities and maintenance issues for effective communication across shifts.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in general maintenance or engineering roles.
  • Technical training or certifications in HVAC and plumbing are advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and contribute positively to group dynamics.
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing tasks without direct supervision.
