Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at ERG Inc. in Indian Head, MD. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring preventative maintenance programs for electrical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement preventative maintenance programs to ensure compliance with federal and local requirements and industry codes, standards, and guidelines.
  • Provide engineering support for documenting and troubleshooting operational issues with electrical systems and equipment.
  • Identify and resolve compliance issues, and document potential capital improvement projects to improve operations.
  • Perform electrical design reviews for facility improvement projects, and assess compliance with applicable Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), electrical codes, and regulations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (minimum GPA of 3.0).
  • At least eight years of experience with an electrical engineering degree or at least ten years of relevant experience and a degree in another engineering discipline.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with energetics-related safety systems is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
  • Fluency in NFPA 70 and NEC.
  • Experience working with AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Ability to prioritize, perform, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
