Job Summary

ERG Inc is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Indian Head, MD. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for supporting the operations and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, implement, and monitor preventative maintenance programs to ensure compliance with federal and local requirements and industry codes, standards, and guidelines.
  • Provide engineering support for documenting and troubleshooting operational issues with electrical systems and equipment.
  • Identify and work to proactively resolve any compliance issues.
  • Identify and document potential capital improvement projects necessary to improve operations.
  • Perform electrical design reviews for facility improvement projects.
  • Assess compliance of design packages with applicable Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), electrical codes, and regulations.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with other stakeholders, internal and external.
  • Serve as a project manager on some assigned projects.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (minimum GPA of 3.0).
  • A Professional Engineer (PE) License is preferred but not required.
  • At least eight years of experience with an electrical engineering degree or at least ten years of relevant experience and a degree in another engineering discipline.
  • Experience with energetics-related safety systems is preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate/communicate effectively with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
  • Must be fluent in NFPA 70 and NEC.
  • Experience working with AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Ability to prioritize, perform, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have or be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
