Key Responsibilities:- Deliver Primary Care: Provide comprehensive medical care to patients, including ordering follow-up care, diagnosing, treating, recording, referring, and reviewing care within ambulatory and hospital settings.
- Chart Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, using SOAP charting, specific forms documentation, referrals, and ordering specific tests.
- Review and Prepare Treatment Plans: Review laboratory, x-ray, and referral documents prior to filing, and prepare, supervise, and implement treatment plans, reviewing developed plans.
- Medical Protocols and Guidelines: Refer to approved medical protocols and/or guidelines for treatment, and provide assistance in coordinating and reviewing referrals.
- Supervision and Teamwork: Supervise health center Mid-level practitioners, including consultations and review of charts, and participate in on-call schedules, provide phone triage on a rotational basis, and attend monthly General Staff Meeting and Monthly Departmental Clinician Meeting.
- Record and Dictate Notes: Record and dictate notes for each patient visit using SOAP format, and follow Medical Records guidelines for chart maintenance.
- Accurate Dates and Signatures: Provide accurate dates on encounter forms, and read and sign off on all medical records, lab results, and other patient data prior to filing.
- Valid California Physician License: Possess a valid California Physician License.
- CPR/BLS Certification: Hold current CPR/BLS certification.
