Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team as a Submarine Acoustic Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of acoustic signature reduction strategies for our submarine fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain acoustic signature reduction policies and procedures
  • Lead technical reviews and assessments of commitments at field activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and secure funding requirements for EM cognizant field activities
  • Provide subject matter expertise in the design and implementation of acoustic noise control systems on submarines
  • Evaluate and incorporate the latest developments in the field into technical plans, proposals, and specifications
Requirements
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program
  • Must have a professional engineering degree or equivalent experience
  • Must have at least one year of specialized experience in developing engineering policies, procedures, strategies, or recommendations to support submarine acoustic test programs
