Position Overview

SOSi is seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Operations Administrator (Linux) to enhance our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and security of our Linux systems, ensuring adherence to all applicable guidelines and standards.

Key Responsibilities

As a Cybersecurity Operations Administrator (Linux) at SOS International LLC, your role will involve:

  • Establishing, configuring, and sustaining a secure Linux environment.
  • Deploying and overseeing security mechanisms such as intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS) and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS).
  • Setting up, updating, and managing the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system to track and evaluate security incidents.
  • Assisting in maintaining a secure system baseline alongside Information System Security Officers (ISSO) and Configuration Managers.
  • Implementing and managing RedHat Satellite while contributing to automation initiatives using Ansible.
  • Overseeing patch management processes to guarantee timely updates for operating systems and applications.
  • Diagnosing, researching, and resolving issues with applications and systems, particularly those affecting operational functionality.
  • Maintaining expertise on emerging cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities, along with implementing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Contributing to the formulation and execution of security protocols and standards.
  • Collaborating with various IT and security teams to devise and implement comprehensive security strategies.
  • Continuously enhancing security measures and incident response capabilities in line with established guidelines.
  • Providing updates and briefings to management and stakeholders as necessary, while completing activity reports in accordance with contractual obligations.
  • Engaging in related technological solutions and special projects.
Qualifications
  • Active SECRET security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field related to Information Technology, accompanied by 4+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • DoD 8140 compliant certifications: Security+ or CySA+ AND Red Hat Certification (RHCSA).
  • Proficiency in Linux Systems Administration.
  • Experience with Shell scripting.
  • Familiarity with Tenable.SC and Nessus.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active in-scope TOP SECRET clearance with SCI Eligibility.
Work Environment
  • Standard office environment conditions.
  • Fast-paced and deadline-driven atmosphere.
  • Potential for non-traditional working hours, including nights or weekends.
