Job Overview

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to assume the role of Medical Director, focusing on enhancing provider experience within our healthcare system. This position requires a strong commitment to our mission and values, as well as exceptional leadership capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Possession of a Doctorate in Medicine or an Advanced Practice degree from an accredited institution.
  • Active medical licensure in the designated region.
  • Proven leadership experience within a healthcare delivery system or a large multi-specialty medical group.
  • Ability to hold active privileges or be eligible for credentialing at our affiliated hospitals.
  • Demonstrated effective leadership skills and the capacity to collaborate with both clinical and non-clinical personnel.
  • A strong sense of integrity and character, aligned with the mission and vision of Intermountain Healthcare.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Desired attributes include respect from peers, team-building proficiency, conflict resolution skills, visionary communication, enthusiasm for change, and the ability to delegate and empower others.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Master's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field.
  • A recognized national reputation and network to facilitate partnership opportunities.

Physical Requirements:

The role involves the following physical demands:

  • Verbal communication and the ability to comprehend spoken information.
  • Proficiency in operating computers, telephones, and office equipment.
  • Visual acuity to read computer screens and documents.
  • Capability to remain seated or standing for extended periods while performing tasks.
  • Frequent interaction with healthcare providers, patients, and visitors, necessitating effective verbal communication and quick comprehension of urgent needs.
  • Manual dexterity for operating delicate equipment and frequent computer use.
