Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled LPN to join our team at WVU Medicine's Wound Management Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients, including administering medications, performing therapeutic procedures, and observing and recording patient data.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and registered nurses to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Utilize available supplies in a cost-effective manner to help contain patient costs.
  • Provide emotional support to patients and their families, and participate in problem-solving and decision-making within the outpatient unit.
  • Obtain medical information from patients, take vital signs, and screen patients for chief complaints and pertinent health data.
Requirements
  • Current licensure with the WV Board of Practical Nursing or equivalent state board.
  • Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire date.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment with high patient volume.
Working Environment

The Wound Management Center is a standard clinical environment with a high volume of patients. As an LPN, you will be frequently exposed to bloodborne pathogens, bodily fluids, toxins, and chemicals.
