Job Title: Tax Manager

At HARIBO of America, we are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our team. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for providing a full range of tax and compliance services for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and own a new corporate tax function, including the implementation of efficient processes and systems.
  • Coordinate and manage external tax advisors who currently handle the company's tax responsibilities.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of external advisors regarding international taxes, payroll taxes, and other tax types.
  • Take responsibility for Income/Corporate Tax, including tax returns, tax planning, and strategy.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion and compliance with all applicable US tax laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement tax policies and partner cross-functionally on tax-related aspects of corporate policies.
  • Monitor current and impending changes to tax regulations and make appropriate updates to company policies and strategies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to provide excellent communication, planning, consulting, and expertise.
  • Conduct internal audits to identify and mitigate tax risks.
  • Gain alignment for changes, make recommendations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external tax inquiries, including support during tax audits and annual financial audits.
  • Calculate and manage tax provisions to support financial planning and reporting.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of working experience in Tax (Corporate and Income).
  • Experience in implementing tax processes and systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Tax or related field is required.
  • Knowledgeable in MS Office Product (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPA/IRS Enrolled agent preferred.
  • SAP system knowledge.
  • MBA preferred.
Skills:
  • Demonstrated success of building a tax function in an organization or operating within a fast scaling environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively between internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work with patience and thrive in a fast-paced high-growth orientated environment.
